Wire Mesh Belts Common Materials - Physical and Chemical Properties
There are many materials for wire mesh belts. Different material has these own characteristics:
Carbon steel is an iron-carbon alloy with a carbon content of 0.0218% to 2.11%. Also called carbon steel. Generally, it also contains a small amount of silicon, manganese, sulfur, and phosphorus. Generally, the higher the carbon content of carbon steel, the greater the hardness and the higher the strength, but the lower the plasticity.
SUS304 features best corrosion and rust resistance performance with relatively more expensive costs.
Inconel600 alloy is a nickel-chromium-iron-based solid solution strengthened alloy. It has good high temperature corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, excellent cold and hot processing and welding properties, and has satisfactory thermal strength and high plasticity below 700°C.
Cr25Ni35Si2 materials feature high temperature and carbon resistance.
