Rod Network / Flat Flex Conveyor Belt is a very versatile wire mesh conveyor belt,Rod Network / Flat Flex Conveyor Belt is ideal for baking, Enrobing, battering, coating or almost any processing application from freezing up to +260℃. It has a wide range of uses in processing meat, poultry, seafood, baked goods, cereal, candy and electronic.
The Rod Network Conveyor Belt has several ways to join, and Tube Join is the easiest one to use.
Prepare the connecting tube to match your flat flex conveyor belt
The tube length is preferably less than 2/3 of the belt space. The inner diameter of the tube should be slightly larger than the wire diameter of the belt, usually ss304 or the same material as the belt is used.
Tools to prepare
• Safety Glasses
• Needle Nose or Flat End pliers
• Side-cutting pliers (cutting of wire and crimping the tubes.)
Where should the space line be cut?
The first cut is made at one third of the space length, only in those spaces that are not driven
Note: Do not position the tubes in the driven sections of the belt. The cut must always be set so that the connecting tube can be pulled all the way through the longer portion of the cut line.
Step 1
Separate a wire rod from the flat flex belt.
Split this wire rod as illustrated below.
Please note: Do not position the tubes in the driven sections of the wire mesh belt.
Step 2
Connect the edges on both sides of the belt.
Insert all individual parts of the rod.
Please note: The use of a screw driver can simplify the act.
Step 3
Complete the connection by joining all sections with the separated rod and straightening it if necessary.
Please note: The use of a long nose plier can simplify the act.
Step 4
Place the tubes on to the wire ends.
Fix the tubes on the rod by squeezing the ends with the use of pliers.
Finished! Your flat flex conveyor belt is ready for use.
Please note:
Wire mesh conveyor belts with a double bent Z-side can also be connected according to the same instructions.
Connection tubes can also, if necessary, be used for repairs.
